Question 1

I just made an appointment. What's next?

Accepted Answer

We've got your info. We'll contact your previous vet to get records. Depending on the practice, they may need your signature to release them. We'll let you know if we need anything from you.

Question 2

How should I prepare for my pet's visit?

Accepted Answer

If there's no medical reason against it, try not to feed your pet for 3 hours before the appointment. This lets us use treats to make the experience positive (BOOPS starts with Boundaries — trust first). Bring a favorite toy or blanket if it helps them feel comfortable.

Question 3

How do telemedicine appointments work?

Accepted Answer

We email you a link to a secure video portal at the time of your appointment. Have your pet nearby and any relevant medication bottles handy.

Question 4

Do you handle emergencies?

Accepted Answer

We offer same-day urgent care for non-life-threatening concerns during business hours. We cannot provide overnight care or immediate care for life-threatening emergencies (pets that can't breathe, hit by cars, emergency c-sections). For those situations, go to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital.

Question 5

Can you run tests in-house?

Accepted Answer

Most of them, yes. Heartworm, intestinal parasite, parvo, feline viral testing, complete blood panels, urinalysis — all in-house, results in minutes. A few specialty tests go to an outside lab with results in 3-4 business days. We also have in-house digital X-ray.

Question 6

What makes Pet's Favorite Vet different from other clinics?

Accepted Answer

We're independently owned — no private equity, no corporate chain. Dr. Caroline is a DVM, Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, and published author. We follow the BOOPS Method (a named care philosophy, not a protocol binder), offer integrative medicine including acupuncture and holistic therapies, have real nutrition conversations, and combine vet care with boarding, daycare, and a private dog park under one roof. We're the only practice in the area offering integrative veterinary medicine and international health certificates.

Question 7

What is the BOOPS Method?

Accepted Answer

BOOPS stands for Boundaries (safety — both in our clinic and at home), Optimal Nutrition, Ongoing Prevention, Prompt Treatment, and Stimulating Activity. It's our care framework — the lens through which every recommendation, treatment plan, and interaction is filtered. It's how we think about your pet's health holistically, not just reactively.
