Who We Are
Pet's Favorite Vet & Play Place is a veterinarian-owned, independently operated animal hospital and pet care destination in Spartanburg, South Carolina. No private equity. No corporate playbook. Just a DVM who built the practice she'd want for her own pets.
We combine Fear Free trained veterinary care with integrative medicine, real nutrition guidance, and a full Play Place ecosystem — boarding, daycare, and a private dog park — all under one roof. The BOOPS Method isn't posted on a wall somewhere. It's the operating system behind every decision we make.
Meet Dr. Caroline Cofer

Dr. Caroline Cofer founded Pet's Favorite Vet because she wanted a practice that matched the way she actually thinks about animal health — integrative, proactive, and built for the long game. She earned her Bachelor's and DVM at the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!), trained in veterinary acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Reddick, FL, and authored The Puppy Planner to help pet parents start their journey right.
When she's not in the exam room, she's probably talking about nutrition science, debating supplement protocols, or playing with dogs in the dog park. She knew she wanted to be a vet since tagging along to her Golden Retriever's check-up at age four. That hasn't changed.

Dr. Caroline holds a CVA (Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist) certification and is a published author. That depth of training means more options for your pet — including integrative therapies most Spartanburg practices simply don't offer.

Ask most vets about nutrition and you'll get a prescription diet recommendation and a polite subject change. Ask us and you'll get a real conversation — homemade diets, label literacy, supplement stacks, species-appropriate feeding. This is a core differentiator for the clients we serve.
